I can appreciate that each country has its own
holiday traditions and holiday songs that can make
these types of releases challenging. However, we
have always been successful in selling seasonal
releases by bigger names such as Al DiMeola, Oscar
Peterson and Dave Brubeck to name a few. Judging
from the success of Take 6's The Standard (HUCD
3142), The Most Wonderful Time of the Year should
follow suit. One thing that is certain, the
arrangements for each of these well know songs are
like nothing you've heard before. Furthermore,
they all contain Take 6's accessible blend of
jazz, gospel, R & B and doo-wop. One of the most
intriguing tracks is 'The Sugarplum Dance' which
is a variation of Tchaikovsky's 'Dance of the
Sugarplum Fairy' from the perennial favorite 'The
Nutcracker'. If your local retailers have
